Dog Agility Jumps

Dog jumps are one of the core obstacles in any agility competition, testing a dog’s speed, focus, and precision. Our Dog Agility Jumps collection includes durable, weather-resistant hurdles and tire jumps made from lightweight aluminum for safe, consistent performance in training or competition.

Dog Agility Jumps for Agility Training and Competition

Dog jumps are one of the most important obstacles in agility work. They test a dog’s speed, accuracy, and control, while strengthening coordination and teamwork between dog and handler.

Jump training helps dogs learn to judge distance, follow direction cues, and maintain focus even at full speed. It’s also an excellent way to improve muscle tone and confidence, especially in high-drive working dogs.

Our Dog Agility Jumps collection includes standard hurdles, pendel jumps, and tire jumps used in both practice and competition. Each product is designed for safe, stable, and consistent performance, whether you’re training a service dog, preparing for IGP trials, or running AKC-level agility courses.

Types of Dog Agility Jumps

Aluminum Frame Hurdle Jump

This adjustable aluminum hurdle is ideal for everyday training and agility basics. The frame adjusts in 2-inch increments from 4" to 26", allowing you to fine-tune difficulty for different dogs or training stages.

The powder-coated aluminum frame is lightweight but sturdy, with excellent resistance to rust, corrosion, and UV exposure. A PVC crossbar rests loosely in place and falls away easily on contact, reducing the risk of injury during a missed jump.

It comes with a carry bag for transport and storage, making it practical for trainers who move between fields or travel to events.

Key Features:

Standard IPO Hurdle Jump

This regulation IPO/Schutzhund hurdle measures 1 meter high by 1.5 meters wide, meeting official competition standards. It’s built with an all-aluminum welded frame that won’t rust or overheat in the sun.

The fully adjustable top rail allows height changes from 6 inches to full height, making it suitable for dogs of all sizes and stages of training. The marine-grade fabric body is rot-proof and weather resistant, holding up to years of outdoor use.

This hurdle comes with ground stakes for stability and a drawstring carry bag for easy transport.

This is the same style hurdle used in IGP and Schutzhund competition

Tire Jump

The Agility Tire Jump is a regulation obstacle that tests precision and focus while building confidence in jumping through a confined space. It features a 24-inch opening with six adjustable height settings ranging from 4" to 24".

The frame is made from UV-resistant, furniture-grade PVC that won’t yellow, crack, or bend under sunlight or weather exposure. The tire itself is covered in outdoor fabric with bright yellow padding at key visibility points to help dogs target the center safely.

Adjustable tethering straps hold the tire securely in place, minimizing movement during impact. The jump ships fully assembled, so it’s ready to use right out of the box.

Key Features:

This model eliminates tape seams and sharp edges, providing a safer, smoother surface that reduces paw or nail injury risk during training.

Dog Agility Jumps Built for Performance and Safety

Every jump in this collection is engineered for durability, safety, and outdoor use. Whether you’re working on obedience drills or running a full agility course, these jumps are designed to last.

Material Strength and Quality:

These jumps perform reliably across seasons and surfaces, from grass fields to indoor mats. Built to handle the wear and tear of professional use.

Determining Jump Heights

Choosing the right jump height ensures both safety and progress. Jump height is typically based on a dog’s measured height at the withers (shoulder height).

Each agility organization sets its own height classes. Below are common AKC guidelines used by trainers:

For puppies and young dogs, keep jumps lower to protect joints and support growth. Many organizations also offer “veteran” or “preferred” classes with reduced heights for senior dogs.

Training Benefits for All Working Dogs

Jump training is more than an agility skill, it’s a foundation for strength, control, and communication in any working dog. It reinforces obedience, coordination, and timing between dog and handler.

These jumps are useful for:

Consistent jump work develops both physical power and mental precision. Each repetition teaches your dog to think, react, and move with purpose.
