We have designed the Activedogs.com Service Dog Cold Weather Coat with great detail for function. The objectives of this design were to create a coat that was cut and shaped so a working dog could easily move and work without overdue restriction while at the same time be protected. This meant that the coat had to fit snuggly around the chest area without becoming restrictive to the dog’s movement. The chest is well covered and padded yet at the same time cut high enough for the dog’s front legs to have good movement. The neck has a roll down fleece collar attached to it. The coat collar sits far enough back so that you can still use your dog’s collar and leash.
Identification is premier on this coat; it has a clear window pocket located on the top coat back for the dog’s ID card. This coat comes standard with two patches and can easily accommodate additional specialty patches, (additional or specialty patches are optional). All patches are sewn on at no additional charge.
There are 3 metal D-rings on this coat, one for a leash or pull tab, and the other two D-rings can be used with a bridge handle.
A molded rubber handle is located over the dog’s shoulder area making a convenient place for the handler to steady themselves with the dog.
There are two ample sized zippered pockets on this coat. One pocket has a grommet opening so a roll of poop bags can be accessed from the pocket.
This coat is very easy to put on the dog as it slips over the dog’s head and has an adjustable girth strap. The buckle for the girth strap is set back on the padded part of the coat so the buckle will not rub against the dog.
The Activedogs.com Service Dog Cold Weather Coat is made from water resistant Cordura top fabric and an Alpine fleece lining inside. It is generously sized to cover the dogs back and sides. Choose from 13 color choices and four size choices. See size chart for all of the coat measurements.
This coat will give comfort and protection to the well deserving working dog that face the cold weather elements.
