During the tanning process, oils and conditioners are infused into the leather, making it highly water-resistant and resistant to drying or cracking like standard harness leather.
The harness features adjustable shoulder and girth straps for a secure customized fit, while the convenient bolt snap on the girth strap allows for quick and easy on and off use. A top-mounted D-ring backed with a padded leather plate helps the harness ride properly on the dog’s back during tracking exercises.
For dogs that tend to raise their head while scent tracking, the harness includes two lower D-rings that allow handlers to run a lead through the harness and attach it to the dog’s collar. This setup helps encourage proper nose-down tracking behavior by allowing gentle correction when needed.
