Unlike generic tactical dog vests, the CaliberDog K9 Tactical MOLLE Vest is engineered to fit the contour of the dog. The adjustable chest and neck strap sits above the breastbone, eliminating gaps around the neck area for a more secure fit. The rear girth strap is positioned and angled to provide comfort while preventing pressure points, making the vest suitable for both male and female dogs.
Comfort was a top priority during development. The underside of the vest features a thick layer of breathable spacer mesh that cushions the dog while promoting airflow beneath the vest. This helps reduce heat buildup and increases comfort during extended wear, training, deployments, and demanding working conditions.
The vest includes two reinforced top-mounted handles that lay flat and secure with hook-and-loop when not in use. This design prevents loose handles from snagging fur while ensuring they remain instantly accessible when lifting, controlling, or assisting the dog.
Heavy-duty welded V-rings are positioned on the back of the vest to provide secure lead attachment points without creating pressure on the dog's neck or back during movement. The girth strap buckles are mounted with protective material tabs underneath, helping prevent rubbing, irritation, and pressure against the dog's ribs.
Built from two layers of rugged material and reinforced MOLLE webbing, the vest provides exceptional durability while remaining highly customizable. Two rows of MOLLE attachment points and hook-and-loop panels on each side allow handlers to add pouches, medical kits, utility bags, identification panels, and other mission-specific accessories. A 4-inch-wide hook-and-loop panel runs the full length of the top back section and is compatible with all ActiveDogs hook-and-loop patches.
The CaliberDog K9 Tactical MOLLE Vest is available with either standard heavy-duty plastic buckles or load-rated metal Cobra buckles for maximum strength and security.
